At long last, the classic 1987 film Adventures in Babysitting has moved from HBO to Disney+! This Elisabeth Shue classic was remade as DCOM 6 years ago starring Sabrina Carpenter and Sofia Carson. This film is PG-13 which is allowed on Disney+, but because Disney+ has a censorship issue, the film’s iconic line will be altered. No “Don’t F- With the Babysitter” here.
Soapbox:
I wanna reiterate that the film is rated PG-13 which means it should not be victim to any censorship as PG-13 films are permitted on Disney+ USA. Unfortunately, people in other countries have reported that Disney chose to add a censored edit worldwide so as not to ruffle feathers of puritan parents who don’t know how to use parental controls. I’m not mad or anything… but why do ratings exist if they aren’t respected? We shouldn’t be paying to access “altered” copies. It’s even more nonsense in the countries that allow Rated R titles…
Synopsis: A babysitter must battle her way through the big city after being stranded there with the kids she’s looking after.
