The launches of Disney+ in Hong Kong and South Korea, first announced December 2020 at Disney’s Investor Day, have finally been given release months. Both will occur this November on an unknown date. In addition, Disney+ will launch in Taiwan at the same time. All of this news came during Disney’s Quarter 3 Fiscal Year 2021 Earnings Call on August 12th.
Disney also announced that the full launch of Disney+ Japan, including the addition of the Star brand tile will occur in October. This too was first mentioned at December’s Investor Day. It must be nice for people in these countries to finally have an update. Hopefully the exact days and prices will be coming soon.
We expect the launch to fall between November 1st and November 12th so that these new countries can enjoy Disney’s newly announced “Disney+ Day” on November 12, 2021. This event will celebrate the 2nd year anniversary of the official launch of the service with big announcements and new titles added to the service including Home Sweet Home Alone (2021).
If you live in Japan, are you looking forward to getting the Star brand tile and content? How stoked are those of you in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and South Korea to finally get Disney+ this November? Just in time for Hawkeye!
