Update: Not long after this article released Disney announced the history-making additions of Deadpool, Deadpool 2, and Logan coming tomorrow. No sleeping allowed for journalists. The title has been updated from 8 to 11.

Incredible news. Very rare for us to be able to say this when speaking about Disney+. so let’s enjoy this moment.. Disney+ USA has just scheduled many previously announced titles over the last 3 title drop days of July. Here’s why this matters… for one thing, they were scheduled to skip the last two Fridays. With these new titles, they are no longer doing so. It’s completely wild that they waited until the week of to schedule content for the end of the week, but what can you do! Now that we’ve established they’ve added content to the next two Fridays, let’s reveal what it is.

Tomorrow, Disney+ will add Sing-Alongs of Moana and The Little Mermaid. That was announced a couple days ago. The NEW news is that they’ve also scheduled Cannibal Sharks and Sharks vs Dolphins: Blood Battle! Oh, hell yeah! Cannibal Sharks has been streaming on Hulu since Disney+ launched and they’re duplicating over! Sharks vs Dolphins is a weird story. It premiered during SharkFest in 2021 and joined international Disney+ last year, but did not begin streaming in USA until a couple weeks ago when it arrived on… Hulu. Thankfully, they’ve decided to duplicate it to Disney+ USA. That’s one gaffe slightly correct. Finally, Disney has announced the Incredible Dr. Pol: A 200th Polapalooza is coming on Friday as well. We watched a s creener of this special, it’s heartwarming. Fans of the show will appreciate this trip down memory lane.

CANNIBAL SHARKS (on Hulu since 2019) is coming to Disney+ as well.

Disney+ has also announced additional titles for next Wednesday! We’re so happy to say that both of these episode batches were highlighted in our initial reaction via Twitter and in our Disney Branded TV Library Progress page as surprising August gaps. We’re growing more convinced each day that DIsney is us as a guide. The 9 missing episodes of Minnie’s Bow-Toons: Party Palace Pals (Season 2) are coming. Villains of Valley View is also getting caught up before it goes on its first hiatus in August.

Finally, the previously empty final title drop day of this month (and a certain Editor-in-Chief’s… 23rd birthday) is no longer getting the Disney Streaming blow-off. In a very odd turn of events, Disney has opted to add a MarVista film they’ve licensed to air on Disney Channel and DisneyNow. The Curious Case of Dolphin Bay will join Disney+ USA on July 29th. Disney also streams a few DCOMs MarVista distributes, but they have yet to add any of the Disney XD Original Movies (all of which were actually distributed by MarVista). It’s likely this film won’t hang around in perpetuity, but who knows?

Now Coming Friday, July 29

  • The Curious Case of Dolphin Bay
