Uh, okay. So Peacock isn’t streaming Will & Grace, but it’s coming to Prime Video this month. Universal and Paramount make the strangest licensing decisions… We’re not fans. Your primary service should receive big titles like this before they go elsewhere. Sharing them in non-exclusive deals is a wise way to make money. Not adding them to your own service is mindless.
The biggest highlight in June is The Boys Season 3. Who doesn’t love superheroes gone bad? It’s the only thing we even watch on Prime so it’s our staff pick.
Speaking of strange licensing… a bunch of ABC game shows like Holey Moley and I Survived A Japanese Game Show are coming to FreeVee. Some of these shows are on Hulu, others are on ABC.com. FreeVee is also getting Alias, which makes its recent addition to Disney+ feel a lot less special. These are all part of the recently announced FreeVee / Disney library deal. While the announcement focused on 20th Century Fox films such as Deadpool and Logan, it clearly includes ABC series. Again, we’re cool with that. Make money. Duplicate your stuff from Hulu to FreeVee. Have fun. Just don’t give competitors exclusive access to your work.

~25 Touchstone, Hollywood, and Fox films going to Prime & FreeVee. For the 2nd month in a row, 0 Going to Disney+! Disney is so lame about this, why do they not buy these Fox deals out? Or maybe a better question is how are these deals still going hard 3 years into the service? Most deals last 5-10 years at most. These deals signed before 2019 must be ending before 2029. What are the odds they signed a bunch of longterm deals in 2018? Probably not high. So let’s go, deals. End!
