You know what my favorite part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films is? The women!
Peggy Carter kicked butt. She founded SHIELD. Pepper Potts is running Stark Industries. But not all the ladies have had their fortune.
Black Widow was raised to be an assassin… she didn’t have much say. Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch is extremely powerful. She was tortured and experimented on and now she’s one massive witch.
Nebula is a survivor, overcoming years of torture by her father, Thanos. Her sister, Gamora, was snatched from her family as a little one. Finally united under their shared daddy issues, they took the power back from their abuser and now are members of the Guardians of the Galaxy!
…What is it with these ladies and their sad backstories of being oppressed and abused by men?
We can’t forget the childlike Mantis. Her empathy is inspirational. Why can’t more people feel like she does? Then we’ve got Hope Van Dyne, The Wasp… Ant-Man is too goofy without her and his daughter Cassie to keep him in line.
Valkyrie stumbled onto the scene, but you don’t wanna mess with Thor’s buddy. She’s black, bisexual, and one hell of a Queen. Black Panther’s genius sister, Shuri, and Okoye are just some of the powerful women in Wakanda.
AND of course we can’t forget the space Infinity Stone-powered Captain Marvel!
Women are the future of the MCU. So where is my all girl team-up movie?!
