The Beatles originally formed in Liverpool, England in 1960 and are best known for hits like Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967), Yellow Submarine (1969), or Hey Jude (1970).
Originally slated for an August theatrical release, Peter Jackson’s The Beatles: Get Back documentary will no longer throw away 4+ extra hours of content and has been reworked into a 3-part Disney+ Original documentary event. Each episode will be about 2 hours. A clip from the documentary is currently streaming on Disney+ for a preview for what’s in store. The Beatles: Get Back book will be released on October 12th, 2021 to go hand-in-hand with the release of the documentary which streams exclusively on Disney+ for the Thanksgiving holiday (November 25, 26, and 27). The never-before-seen footage will feature John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison in their prime.
More information to be released as the event gets closer. Are you excited about this change in release strategy?
