The Most Magical Story On Earth: 50 Years Of Walt Disney World – Happy 50th To Disney World

Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Special Coming to Disney Plus

October 1st, 1971, a grandiose day, in which the Walt Disney company opened their Floridian doors to the public. Walt passed years before the project was finalized, but his signature stamp is everywhere within those magical walls. Roy E. Disney, chairman at the time, oversaw the project that would be Walt Elise Disney’s destiny.

October 1st, 2021 marked 50 years of memories, celebrations, and magic for the Walt Disney company. Disney World’s 50th will be an 18 month celebration honoring the landmark of this iconic world.

SO MUCH NEWS! All four parks will have special offerings to entice guests to visit. Main Street and Cinderella’s Castle, the Tree of Life, Disney’s Hollywood Hotel, and Epcot’s Globe will all be lit up promoting each park! Kite Tails (Epcot), Disney Harmonious (Epcot), and Disney Enchantment (Magic Kingdom) are shows being offered as well. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure (Epcot) opened earlier this month alongside a new creperie in the France Pavilion. Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will set sail on March 1st, 2022 and The Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will open in 2022 (Epcot). More announcements throughout the coming months.

With Disney+ Day arriving on November 12th, will we see any other cross promotional content honoring Disney World, or more importantly, more content honoring Walt Disney’s life? We’ll find out in 2 months with this event.

Previously airing on ABC (Oct 1st) and Hulu (Oct 2nd), Disney+ will air the Most Magical Place on Earth 50 Years of the Walt Disney Company special on Oct 8th on Disney+ where it should join the collection of other park specials and events.

How long will it stay? That’s the important question. EiC Note: We predict 1 year.
